I’m Away from My Desk

“There's hardly a moment of my day without music.”

Some of my earliest memories are of my dad playing Blackbird by The Beatles for my sister and me. Since then, there’s hardly been a moment of my life without music. Whether I’m listening to it, playing it, or waking up in the middle of the night with a song stuck in my head, it’s always there. Back when I worked the floor, they called me “the singing nurse.” I didn't even realize I was doing it most of the time.

If I'm not working or singing at an open mic, you might find me paddle boarding the Salt River, hiking around Sedona, digging through the shelves at every Goodwill I spot, playing pickleball while trying to convince my friends it's cool, or just hanging out with my kids and our two dogs, Luis and Max.

I’m a transplant from the Midwest, and although I've been in Arizona about eight years, I still love tater tot hot dish and I definitely don’t regret trading in my down jacket for flip flops. Shoot me a message if you want the recipe. :)

Even my practice logo started as a sketch of a guitar pick and strings.

“The best care starts with being real.”

The real story is less about a straight path and more about finding a place where I could be useful. I became a psychiatric nurse practitioner because I wanted to cut through the noise and help people in a way that feels human, not clinical. My approach is grounded, honest, and focused on what actually matters to you, not just checking boxes.
